Okay so I was raging a bit in this vid but its really been driving me nuts that people don't take care of their motorcycles. So far we have looked at a cbr 600 and two r6s and all of them have been in bad condition not old cosmetically but also mechanically. No matter if you bike is a zx6r, gsxr 600, R6, cbr 600, R1, zx10r, cbr 1000, gsxr 1000 or any bike you should not only give it overall tender loving care but mostly be a stickler on the oil. Reason being is that the oil is the blood and heart of your bike. Bad oil equals a trashed bike. I recommend full synthetic and change your filter every time you change your oil. Also as far as cosmetics go, don't leave your bike in the sun... Buy yourself a $50 bilt cover and cover it when your not riding. I leave my bike outside and the bilt cover is second best to a garage. Secondly at least every once in a while clean you bike. Not just the fairings but also all the grime and grossness on the rims and drive train. If you can't install something properly without making it look like it was done by a money get a professional to do it. Maybe I'm such a freak about taking care of bikes because my biggest influence is my brother in law who owns a Duacti 1199 Panigale R 2013 which is in pristine condition and he takes care of that thing just as he did all his other bikes. If you are looking to buy a bike I would not compromise on your standards or you may pay for it. Even if it takes looking and test riding 10 bikes. Purchasing a motorcycle is a pain when it's used if your trying to get one in good shape at a reasonable price but its worth it when after owning it for years you can look at it and say, "Ahhh, man I love this bike. Just as sexy as she was when she was new."
