New Bike Reveal Yamaha R1 EDIT
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
Well here it is my friends. Finally, the new, R1, REVEAL! This video shows the new 2009 yamaha R1, then transitions to a flashback of memories on the R6. This video is my good bye to my lovely R6, as I sold it to a friend of mine. And that friend is in this video. Thankfully he only lives 10 mins away so I know the R6 isn't far. The power of a liter bike is quite exhilarating. Riding in a mode definitely takes some getting use to especially with he quick throttle response. There is no sweet spot, its either gas on or gas off haha. Also its been a little difficult getting use tot the weight in the corners. Hopping on the R6 now though makes it feel totally gutless, although I can throw her around in the canyons. The upgrades I've done to the R1 have made a major difference in power and drivability. some of the changes are- cleaned and synchronized throttle bodies full tune up flashed ecu ss brake pads and galfer stainless steel braided brake lines ddm tuning ultra hid kit 6000k graves block off plates valve adjustment bridgestone rs10 tires (sticky) oem grips fork rebuild professional suspensions adjustment according to my body weight removal of plates and mirrors (Gregs customs mirror block offs) Much MORE! and CLEANING the hell out of it. I do miss the R6, she was a wonderful bike and nothing can replace my 3 years of ass hauling, knee dragging, memories with her. She will always be in our heart and definitely in more videos! At the end of this video we demonstrate the r6 r1 and 350z, then a random guy with a jeep grand cherokee srt I believe decided to hop in the video. Just after making the video I met a guy with gsxr 600 who ended up riding with me to get some footage, and my coworker has a 2012 zx10r so hopefully he'll be in some videos. Recording of this video was done with my new cannon t6i with a rode external mic. song- alan walker fade ncs release https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bM7SZ5SBzyY //////////////////////////////////////////\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\💯 Follow on Instagram 📷 @streetbikesforever http://instagram.com/streetbikesforever Email 📧 streetbikesforever@gmail.com Like on Facebook 📲 http://www.facebook.com/StreetBikesForever Follow on Twitter 🐥 https://twitter.com/StreetBikesEver Follow on Tumblr 🙌 https://www.tumblr.com/blog/streetbikesforever YouTube Channel 🎥 http://www.youtube.com/user/StreetBikesForever Check out my photographer on Instagram 📷📲 @sad_gucci http://instagram.com/sad_gucci Feel free to message me about anything! Is the insurance a big difference between the r6 and the r1? Only thing holding me back from a literbike. Congratulations!

Love the video bro and awesome job editing .I know its tough seeing the r6 go when you have put so much into it over the years but at least you know its going to someone who will appreciate it as much as you do.Great seeing you riding again

There were a lot of memories and miles put on that bike. I hope she keeps her new rider as safe as she kept you.

I love your editing, it's really the best I have ever seen on YouTube. That song was perfect for this.
Cleaning the R1 must have been the hardest and longest part of it :D
When I clean my father's MT 09 (that's the European name, in USA it's called FZ) I usually:
Normal soap and sponge for various plastics and tank, then I wash with water
Shining product (excuse my shitty English, hopefully you will understand) for chassis, then washing with water
I unmount the front sprocket plastic cover, take the shit off it
Product for solving shit from the chain, then I use compressed air and paper to drying it
I clean the wheels
Demosquitoes for all the front (forks handlebar mirrors ecc.)
And then lubrication of the chain.
All this process takes me something like 3 hours and a half.
Can't imagine what it has been cleaning a 7 years old bike :D
I'm sorry for the R6, it looks gorgeous (personally I prefer the old one versus the new R1-ish one) and divine sound.
But now it comes the BIG POWA :D
Next mod, exhaust? ;)
Just a question, how can you ride on street without mirrors and license plate? How things work there? Here in Italy you can be easily stopped and forced to pay a 300+ euros (~380 dollars) just for a not-homologated indicator.
Greets from Italy :) -
Enjoy it!
