Bike Launches for 2016 2016 is already promising to be a exiting year for bike lovers in India. From entry level entry level two –wheelers to high end Triumph bikes, everything will be available in the Indian bike market. So let’s have a look at what’s in store for 2016 as far as bikes are concerned. Bajaj Pulsar CS 400: This muscular new Pulsar looks nothing like the Pulsar we have seen before. Unveiled at last year’s auto expo, this naked tourer uses a modified version of the KTM Duke 390’s chassis and engine. Design of the bike is sporty and stylish at the same time. When it launched, it will come powered by a 373cc 40bhp engine and will be priced around the Rs.1.6lakh mark.. BMW G130 R First joint product of BMW Motorrad and TVS Motors, the BMW G130R will be launched at the upcoming Auto Expo. TVS version of the bike will also be launched in 2016 itself, but at a much later date. It will be priced around the Rs.2 lakh mark and will compete with the KTM Duke 390 when it is launched. Royal Enfield Himalayan Royal Enfield will be bringing out a whole new model after many years and bike lovers are waiting with bated breath to welcome it. This British bike maker has a legendary status in India and from what we have seen it seems the Himalayan will match up to that status when it hits showroom shelves. Powered by a 28PS 410cc air-cooled engine, the Himalayan will most probably be priced under the Rs.2 lakh mark. ‘ Triumph Street Twin The legendary British bike maker Triumph is not one to be left far behind when it comes to new launches. IN 2016, the company has lined up its Street Twin for the Indian market. As far as looks are concerned, the Street Twin looks classy, sleek and youthful. When launched it will become the most affordable Bonneville yet from the company around the Rs.7 lakh mark. Suzuki Gixxer 250 Powered by a 248cc engine, the Gixxer 250 will make its debut at the upcoming Indian Auto Expo. It is a bigger cousin of the already existing Gixxer 150. By the looks of it, it seems some of the design features of the bike were borrowed from the GSX R-1000, but the bike does retain some feature of its older sibling. When launched, the bike would probably be named GSX R-250 instead of Gixxer 250. Kawasaki Z 250 SL The Z250 already available in India hasn’t done well at all and that’s why Kawasaki is planning to rescue the bike with a much lower priced SL version. To lower the price SL would be carrying a single cylinder engine instead of the twin-cylinder one that Z 250 carries. The most important thing about the SL would be the fact that it would be almost 20kg lighter than its twin-cylinder sibling and would pack more punch in terms of engine horsepower and torque. Hero HX 250R The HX250R would make its debut at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo. This fully-faired bike and will be a completely in-house designed bike when it is launched in 2016. According to Hero officials, the bike can hit 100kmph from zero in just 9 seconds. Once launched the HX 250R would compete for market space with the likes of Suzuki Gixxer 250 and Honda CBR 250R.
