It would be the first time that Royal Enfield(RE) has introduced bikes with engine bigger than 535 cc. The Eicher Motors owned Royal Enfield plans to make its entry in the mid-size motorcycle segment (350-750 cc) to rival big name Harley Davidson, Triumph & others. It will provide access to developed markets i.e.US,Europe,UAE,Australia,South East Asia. UK based R&D center working on a new 600-650 cc twin cylinder motorcycle codenamed 'P61'. P61 middle weight motorcycle will be more fined tune to address a global audience specially in the American & European continent FEATURES:- Max. power:- 35-38 HP Peak torque:- 45-50 Nm.(Between 4000-5000 RPM) Existing compititors:- 1. Harley-Davidson Street 750(Price- 4.70 lakh(INR); Engine- 750cc) 2. KTM 690(4.25-4.50lakh(INR); Engine- 690cc) 3. Ducati 500(Price-4.25-4.50 lakh (INR); Engine- 500cc)

I believe Indians are becoming more knowledgeable and not sure if they really encourage a bike with large OIL engine, i mean single cylinder. First they have to focus on quality than models....who wants.....
