imagine you are travelling over 1000km in remote Australia and you discover the next fuel stop is 150 km away and your preceding fuel stop (that you passed without filling) is now 100 km. You have 5 km of fuel left and about midway...this should be impetus for all bikes to have gauges.

Was this recorded in Hayling Island? OMG
-
Does that bike have a gear indicator? Or just any info you could give on the instrument gauge of what it includes and doesn't include other than the fuel gauge not being there. Thanks!

Got brought to your vid from google, while I searched 'adding fuel indicator' something simple like that. but iv got the Apache. and iv owned a 200 and a 250 and I'm pretty sure I use more petrol with my 125 than the others... because I have to try so hard to get it to keep its speed up hills or even just getting it over 50 mph. I HATE MY BIKE, stupid UK law. I'm from South Africa and in SA you theres only 2 licences a 'learners' and your full licence. a learners is basically your theory test. no ridiculous 9 hour day doing a CBT.Once you got your 'learners' licence the only thing you cannot do is ride with a passenger and use a motorway (yes you can jump straight onto a 1000cc bike if you wanted to or any size)So I bought one of these just for the time being to get to work and back till iv done my full licence.125cc struggles up hills most days, I struggle to overtake unless I have a 50 metre gap to start building up speed, devours fuel if I go over 50mph and finally when you enter areas where the speed limit moves up from 40 mph to 50mph it takes about 10-20 seconds to finally hit that speed and yes you can get there faster... but enjoy munching away at your fuel

what i do is run bikes locally with fuel on board till i run out and clock the mileage now my 1990 cbr600f is 160miles dry so at 120 miles i start looking to fill up my gf does 95miles before empty so at 70 miles she starts looking for fuel (it does have a fuel indicator but it says its full till theres about a litre in before the needle moves and it drops quickly so it can catch you out) and this sinnis i use agverages around 200 kilmoeters before it runs out so at 150kilometers i start looking for fuel i dont recoomend this but its what i do

Is it possible to put a fuel gauge on it?
-
sat watching this them it dawns on me.....this is hayling island, i live in havant and suddenly recognised as you drove past the lifeboat at 1:52ish haha
-
this bike is cool
-
Do you have a car?
-
Look at those petrol prices! Jeez, thank god it went back down
-
Same thing with my car. Stick shift. Feel like there's more resistance in the gas pedal. The fuller the tank the easier to feather the gas and clutch. I dunno why. Can't explain haha
-
well, some of us live or ride in remote areas. could be 100 miles to the next gas station.or more. I have been riding in 45mph wind and my mileage then is way different from no wind or in town riding.
-
Yea I've got no fuel light either, I can definitely feel it, tbf its a RZ50 so about half its weight comes from the petrol tank when full XD
-
My 750 gets about 47 mpgs.
-
forcing more fuel ,,, no the bike will only use what the throttle demands gravity just gets it to the bowl
-
Fuck people that hate on jap shit or chink or domestic or w/e... I had to dump 300$ on a fuel gauge from Harley from my sportster, i didn't need it, cause i'm not an idiot, but i really wanted one.
