One Cylinder Four Stroke Engine - Solidworks
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
Project Description: The analysis and design of an internal combustion engine, using topics from the following courses: Thermodynamic Modeling (ME-TRM), Applied Mechanics 2 (ME-MEC2), Fields and Flows (ME-FFL) and Mechanical Design (ME-MED), in addition to the courses you had in the 1st and the 2nd semesters. Project Outcomes: The project consists of six phases. Phase 1: Engine Disassembly Phase 2: Measurements and Drawings Phase 3: Thermodynamic Modeling Phase 4: Dynamic Analysis Phase 5: Analysis of an Engine Component Phase 6: Engine Assembly

hi sir, where can i get the dimension?
-
Cool I have a predator engine that looks just like this.
-
You guys are forgetting the (ignition cycle) aka spark is a cycle of the 4 stroke engine.
-
The thing i'm confused about is the power stroke. A one cylinder would only have a power stroke %25 of the time right? Isn't that inefficient?
-
Can you upload the parts of the engine? And do you have computations for the gear and cam timing? I'm stuck with only the piston and crankshaft but no gears yet. If you do upload the parts, I will very much appreciate it. Thank you!
-
Hi, I was wondering if you excluded camshafts as it doesn't seem to be in the model? Is this because of the one cylinder? Thanks

I really appreciate this video. Always wondered what went on inside of there. We are all so blessed by technology, I am just a peasant I admit it and am proud of it.

cool video, fellow Armstrong!

Awesome, thank you!

Hello! I'm very interested in this type of engine. I also have to make one in Solidworks but i'm kinda stuck on a few things on the inside. Is it possible to upload the solidworks file so that i could check the inside of the engine? would really appreciate it!

Thanks

I have a question, why does the piston go up, like when it sparks and the fuel ignites piston goes down right, but whats the force that moves it up?
-
this is awesome man. I just picked up my copy of SW. Any pointers on useful books or guides to work up to this level? Did you ever figure out how to get the springs to work?
-
amazing work! i have a project for you if you have time! a light-weight 4 piston asteroid engine (90-90-90-90 degrees) 16valves hight rpm simple construction.
-
That's amazing!! i just wanted to ask you how did you come up with the dimensions because i have a project where i should draw a single cylinder piston pretty much the same a this one, so i bought an actual engine to take the dimensions from it but i have a hard time disassembling it so i'd be grateful if u have any tips that will help me with my problem. Thank you

Probably the best video on youtube
-
Thanks!
-
Cheers!

Sure. :) The only thing that didn't work was the springs, next time. :P

great job man !
