Passing the Torch: Dad and Son Bike Camping
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
Nothing is more rewarding than sharing knowledge and experience with your children and grandchildren. Last weekend my son, Jonathan, and I had the opportunity to bike camp in the Sam Houston National Forest, Texas, USA. We had a blast outdoors, laughing and learning from each other’s life experiences. Sitting side by side, we sketched pictures of nature. Engaging your children in the artistry of nature is a tradition in our family. The torch now passes to the next generation. Awesome video its very inspiring and relaxing I also love your drawings I didn't know you drew. I'm pretty into art and I wouldent argue about seeing more drawing. Drawing in nature is one of my favorite things to do :)

Lovely outing ! especially the sketching. you get to know and appreciate your surroundings so much more and better when you take the time to draw instead of just snaping pics . Makes for longer lasting, more meaningful memories, kind of a meditation. Keep at it. Darken a whole sheet with charcoal from your fire and then bring out the shapes of light on leaves with a kneaded eraser, then go back with charcoal sticks to add more definition. Thank you for sharing your adventures. It's such a treat and great teaching. Cheers !

That fier bowl is a nifty idea I assum its a stanles stell bowl I have seen a hub cap used that way, Is ther any added holes drelled in it ? Add some kined of grelling iver it and you could cook a pot of stew or grell meat over it.

Another excellent video Ken!!! Looks like y'all had a great time. It's so very rare to see others out sketching on the wilds (outside of day trippers for a couple of hours then back to the car). Congratulations to both of you and please keep passing on the tradition. There's so much art in nature, big and small and everything in between. Don't ever let the thru hikers get you down about the extra weight - journals and sketch pads are necessities!!

Very nice, enjoy your time together,my father's been gone a little over ten years now,we used to spend a lot of time in the woods going for walks, fishing, and hunting partridge.Dad always carried an old coffee can with a bail on it and a few tea bags,I will always cherish our time together in the outdoors.Thank you for sharing such a great video.

Great time outdoors. You had made me realise I should get out and do some drawing more often. To sit down quietly and take in the surroundings and put all your thoughts in to nature is great for the mind. Thanks, Donny.

Loved the video Ken you and John have the best time together. Your drawings are really good and will go well with your journals. Glad John likes the hammock it's a good alternative. atb Opal
