That's where you went wrong. Psychedelia has been around since 1962, it didn't got out of SF area until mid 60's and became known nationwide in the late 60's. music is not count from the moment people get to know it, but from the times when they played for 50 people.
-
Fwiw, this music wasn't around in the "early 60's", and when it started happening later ca. '67/'68, it was never called "doom psychedelia". Also, Traffic, while a great band, were never considered a "heavy" band (as in hard rock) either; Led Zep, yes.
-
On the contrary, this is what was call doom psychedelia in the early 60's, which was the root for Heavy Rock Bands like Traffic and Led Zeppelin. By the way , they were also from the 60's.

No other machine comes close to a human as a bike. The natural elements, the border line between life and death, the speed, the control of the machine, it becomes like part of your body which exceeds its capabilities.
-
it sounds like a 1968 triumph t100c on nitromethane and straight pipes with a knobby rear tire spinning on the dessert
-
he's complimenting it. genius.
