Pedestrian Steps Out - hit by cyclist - Nottingham
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
A pedestrian walks off the pavement whilst on the phone and without looking, gets half way and changes his mind and turns back. Cyclist doesn't give enough room and is taken off their bike when their handle bars hit the pedestrian.

It is the cyclist fault because he should have been riding in the traffic lane. AT least he could of yield when passing him and give him 3 ft!
-
If that was a car the driver would be arrested. The bloke walking is a dick but there wa plenty of time to slow down and get ready to fully stop
-
Not a pedestrian crossing. Highway Code 146 therefore not broken. Cyclist could of slowed down a bit in the approach to the pedestrian, but could not have anticipated the pedestrian's change in direction in time.
-
Get back up and ride away, FUCK the ped
-
The stuped prick was on his mobile and not looking
-
Cyclist totally at fault. Riding without due care and attention.
If the pedestrian is at fault, next time I have 10 seconds to avoid a cyclist, I am not going to bother. Hope the cyclist had plenty of insurance. -
Both wrong. More the pedestrian of course, he seems clueless and has no right to be there. The cyclist saw him and had time to slow down but simply doesn't anticipate a possible danger : when you see a dumbass who seems to be in his own world, you are to be careful. Well, lesson learnt by both of them, I guess

if the moron was aware of his surroundings and not walking out in the road and back again it wouldn't have happened..not the cyclists fault at all
-
after reviewing all the comments, my vote is that the bike, the pedestrian turd on the phone, the bus, the wind, the trees, the pavement are all at fault and should be banned from existence.;
-
I can´t repeat this enough, if you want to be treated like a vehcile, behave like a vehicle. If you see a pedestrian crossing the road infront of you, slow down, be alert, be ready to break. If you are not able to do so, walk...
-
Cyclist isn't at fault. Highway code 146 or whatever bs you said is not broken at all. That was a bus lane. The pedestrian should have been looking where he was going
-
I like how mountain bike wheels don't fold as bad as that!
-
Collision at 0:50 :)
-
I think both! 80% pedestrian - 20% cyclist
-
The cyclist shouldn't be at fault he was jn the bike lane
-
Where do you see, a traffic light, crossing or roadworks here u bellend?
-
According to the fucked up law, he is at fault.
According to the laws of logic, the pedestrian is at fault. -
In Canada I had a similar incident except for me, my bike was fine and I was fine. The woman who stepped off the curb in front of me was taken away in an ambulance with a $150 fine and was hospitalized with severe head and facial injuries.

ban phones totally on the roads

It sort of looked like a video game death animation on the helmet cam.
