Pedestrians, tramways and bikes sharing space in Seville
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
Another proof that tramways, bikes and pedestrians can coexist safely and share the same street space without fences, traffic lights, underpasses and special signs. The 1st part was taken at Puerta de Jerez, The 2nd part 3:40 was taken while cycling along Av de la Constitución, The 3rd part 5:21 was taken near the Archivo de Indias tram stop, The 2nd part 6:52 was taken while cycling along Calle San Fernando, Do you believe that in the past these streets were full of cars? Not a smart idea Seville to mix bicycles and trams. Even if the trams only go 50 km/h. For one, bike tyres can get caught in the flangeways but also because by "Going Dutch" you are supposed to adopt the sustainable safety policies of the Netherlands, one part of which says huge differences in mass, speed and direction of travel modes must be minimized, and the huge mass of a tram by far outweighs (literally) that of a bicycle, so they must be separate.
