I watched episode 1 on another channel and felt this series could take a turn for the better. episode 1 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwmABU819wE When using shared paths firstly take your time, expect to be slowed down, expect to stop if it's needed. It might mean adding 1min onto your journey time, it isn't the end of the world. If you can't for whatever reason then maybe consider another route. Also try to positively engage with everyone. It's just better, you will enjoy your ride more, smiles all around. Thank those who move for you even if it's not as fast as you would have liked, in the future when they come across the situation again or even when they get to the end of the shared path and hop into a SUV it's more likely they will "have time for cyclists" as you had time for them. Lastly ride slowly around kids and be encouraging. Beyond the obvious safety side in that they can and will run/walk infront of you, they are also learning constantly about the environment they live in. If you go flying past inches from them then don't be surprised when they associate bicycles with danger.
