Bicycles in the Air is a very challenging classical Pilates exercise that strengthens the abdominal muscles, the hip extensors and hip flexors. Keep the flexed leg parallel to the floor (don't allow it to drop towards the face) and focus on reaching the opposite leg into as much extension as possible without extending the spine.
