Howdo all, welcome to build part 1 of Project "Why Not". My Honda V Twin Bike engine into a Wheel Horse Build. It looks like you have it pretty much figured out. We have the same rear end issues that you ran into when we build our little pulling tractors, only we run narrowed automobile axles. I tried to post a pic of my snowmobile powered John Deere, but it wouldn't let me. For some examples, check out www.minipulling.com. Keep up the work & I'll be watching!

This is going to be a super neat build. I would keep both the front and rear track wide for handling reasons. Sure you want it to still look something like a Wheelhorse tractor but one must consider it's not going to be like any thing close to one. But if you could add on to the length of the hood and widen the rear fenders it will look enough like a custom Wheelhorse that no one has ever seen before. I do not know if you could not only make the hood longer so it fits more over the front axle or not. But if you could do this maybe you could widen the hood also. From watching your six by six I have all the faith in the world you will figure it out. Thank you I look forward to this exciting project. Your going to need a roll gage and helmet by the time your done with it LOL Cheers

what about a cut down reliant axle thats what a lot of the trike builders use

I think the quad rearend is a good choice for strength.
