A very polite Sylvania Township officer pulls me over just before 5:00pm on Holland-Sylvania RD, in Toledo. He basically tells me to ride more on the Right side of the lane, and not in the middle, when in fact this lane is far too narrow to share safely with a 6 foot wide automobile. He seems like he knows the Ohio Revided Code section pretty well. I am supprised that, even when I show him where it staets that bicyclists can ride in the middle of the lane, and that its the law, he still suggest I ride closer to the gutter. If I did that I would have far many more close calls and the potential of gettting side swipped increases. He was very polite about the situation, which goes a long way with me. Afterwards we left and I continued on my way.
