Great review. I've seen a good number of reviews and am almost sold on this as my next bike but there's just one nagging thing that comes up now and then in the reviews, that it seems to be a small bike. The Ergofit makes it rideable for most sizes but that doesn't mean it looks good for most riders (one review said when ridden by a bigger dude, from the back it looked like a bear on a unicycle.) But maybe he was 6'3" and as I'm 5'8" 165 lbs maybe it's not an issue for me. Any thoughts as to what size of rider would look proportionate for this bike?

I am HEAVILY considering this one. First off, bikes I ride need to have the weight down low. This one defiantly does... (In fact the Vulcan 900 custom is too heavy both because of high mounted weight and a large front wheel but the classic isn't so much... Go figure...) I also like that it has a way to fit certain body types as I am somewhat tall. Then we go to the fact that it has a freaking ninja motor in it! Then the digital speedo which is surrounded by my favorite color blue as is the tac needle. And it's a cruiser! So when I put my feet down my pant legs don't get caught in the pegs or I don't have to do wide V with my legs or just the usual. The engine braking doesn't feel like it wants to toss me over the bar, it's fuel injected! And the price is significantly lower than what you'd buy a similar bike for... And not only that but there are even some great deals on them that I have seen. A good alternative they say is the Vulcan 900 classic (not custom again because the larger front wheel and higher mounted weight make her a bit harder to stand up.) what do you think rabid? Fair thoughts?

Great review well done, I have had naked bikes all my life my last being the 2012 Suzuki GSR750, now I feel the need for something differant, love the way ithis looks, but have never rode a cruiser style bike and I am a worried over the riding position and forward foot pegs, also would this be big enough for two up riding or would I be better on Vulcan 900cc

Very good as a beginners bike but I feel very good for the experienced rider? After having a Z1000SX for a year and not feeling too confident I was gonna give biking a rest for a while. Took this bike out. LOVE IT. pick mine up tomorrow.

Great review. You really sold me on this bike.

0-60 on 4.2 seconds with a top speed of 105. It'll shame some cruisers with larger engines.

Is there a possibility to have a passenger seat on the vulcan s? I wanted to get a motorcycle in a near future and I'm liking the vulcan S. The 900 custom is too much for me even though it has a passenger seat already.

Two complaints I've read and heard about - Too stiff rear suspension, and shifting problems with the transmission. Both will impact sales...

My husband gave me as my graduation degree MBA a Kawasaki Vulcan S. It is very easy to drive.

This one and the Yamaha r3 are the 2 I'm looking at for my next bike. Those are the only two i feel comfortable sitting on, they are short enough and light enough for me not to be too intimidated. My husband has the yamaha fz07 and i hate riding it because its just slightly taller than i would like. I couldn't find any real reviews on this one until this video so thank you for that! I prefer a cruiser over a sports bike. I also love the pegs far up, that's where my current bike has them. I'm pretty much sold on this over the r3 now! Only thing left to do is start saving some money! :)

Really been thinking about this bike.
Thanks for the great review.
That just about makes my mind... -
Interesting that you describe the suspension as smooth when all the other reviews I have seen describe it as the opposite to smooth?
