1. read my comment in 5 years time. Discs brakes will never make it to pro peloton. They look awful and are super dangerous .
2. Outer rim brakes don't work very well when you've got a 1000W mid drive pushing you 25MPH + your pedaling.
   Disc brakes please!

This is just to generate more money for the industry, more weight, more complexity, harder to maintain, can't use your current rim brake wheels, frame or levers for very small performance advantages. Plus with a thru axel how do I mount my expensive fluid trainer? Mountain, gravel & do it all bikes, yes. Pure road bikes, no.
4. calipers destroy your wheels over time, you can get a blowout when braking on a long descent, and they are worth less than shit when wet
   
   disks only are more expensive, becoming more popular would fix that

9. Hes right i always thought disc brakes were cool but sence i glt my first disc brake mtbbi now always look for disc or disc compatability

13. had disks on my mtb for a long time. when I replace my city bike I will be going to go for disks. love em.
14. Why don't use ceramic composites material on the brake disc? This is already adopted by automotive industries.
15. Shimano inter -M rollerbrakes are garbage! Avoid them!

19. I cant stand the bicycle industry. Its just a monopoly that would rather take the fun out of riding than be open to try new stuff. Fuck the peloton and road bikes. I just bought a comfort hybrid and I am fast as hell...but I can commute and tour in comfort. I also ride a recumbent and kick scooter...both worthy equipment that does certain jobs better than conventional bikes. I'm not bias obviously...the bike industry is though. Wow you got somewhere a little faster than me...big deal. I got high miles in comfort, taking in more scenery and speed when I need. Road bikes suck dick.
20. Maybe good for top level push bike riders, but just marketing hype for the average joe all for the purpose of parting him from his cash for something he doesn't need.
