If i want to buy a pedal i need a line out on the amp like the input one?
-
is look keo cleat compactible with shimano road sh rp200 shoe?
-
flats for me
-
So can I put mtb clipless pedal on my road bike..
-
I`m so confused. I recently got my first road bike and would prefer mtb pedals and shoes rather than road bike pedals and shoes but I just don`t know. Some people have told me that I must have road bike pedals and shoes and some people have told me that unless I`m competing or trying to shave miliseconds off of times then I should go for mtb gear. I`m riding my bike for leisure and fitness but not seriously training so can anybody offer me any advice. At the moment I think that I favour mtb pedals and shoes.

Don't know if it was mentioned in the comments but SpeedPlay does offer a light action variant with less tension.
-
i want some clipless pedals that are very good tighten tension the max tension on shimano spd sl are okay but i need better i also got some forte classic ones and they are also good but the cleat makes it feel like the shoe is free like im able to move it alot and i dont like that and i also have some mtb shimano pd-a525 and its also alright but i need better tension i already tighten it to the max on all pedals what pedal is better in tention
-
Honestly i cant agree whatsoever that speedplay is more complicated or take longer to mount, switched from spd-sl which i found a pain to set up the first time. Speedplay works a charm imo since it separates all the directions in which you move it and also the float/foot angle is so much easier to adjust. Clipping in and out mechanism i also find superior

One thing to consider is as how to force distributed to the sole of your shoe. I used to had trouble with my feet when ride more the 2 hours due to the pressure on the metatarsal joints. When swichting from looks to speedplay I can now easily ride 5-6 hours without troubles this because the force is distributed better across the sole. Remark the shoes stay the same. Some shoe soles can also distribute the force better over the feet.

My speedplays are super annoying and dangerous, my feet get locked on the pedals if any small amount of dirt or grit get in the cleat, which need disassembly almost every day to clean and lube them..you need to use thread lock too on the screws because you can't tighten them down past a certain spec, invariably wind up losing screws in them too.
-
Are shimano SPD-SL cleats compatible with Look Kéo pedals and the other way around?
-
cant we just call them cleats and avoid all the confusion?
-
is it a given that almost all clipless pedals come with the cleats? or do i buy them separately.
-
Get a pair of hybrid shoes with 5 holes. They will work with 3 holes cleats and 2 hole cleats. I personally prefer the mtb cleats. No more fussing with the road cleat on the wrong side up.
-
So if you start having a hard time twisting out of the pedal does that mean the cleats are worn out or is it the tension adjustment on the pedal ?
-
do mtb cleats also have an option of a few degrees float?
-
What sucks when you start cycling is that you gotta buy both pedals and shoes lol.

Great Video. I use MTB pedals on guess what - my MTB, but Road cleats and clips on - well my roadie. I do like the Crank Brothers egg beaters (without the extended 'flat') though, they are excellent.
-
Great video. That answered every question I had about pedal types, pros/cons. Thanks!!

Speedplays are very nice, but comparatively speaking, they are very expensive. The problem with this good presentation is that Dan never mentions the cost of the pedals, which will be a major factor for a lot of buyers. Of course, those pedals with built-in power meters cost more than many riders' bikes!
