Selecting the right Hybrid Bicycle.
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
This short video was intended to help the new cyclist, in selecting the correct Hybrid style for them. I tried to refrain from making any reference's to Brands, Styles, Models, Etc.. being any better than another. But wanted to give them some tips on things they may want to consider before actually purchasing one. Any additional comments that would help them are most welcome. Always Bike Safely !

My Trek 7.2 has taken me every where I have asked to and has done it in comfort. I'm 65 ridding around Mesa Arizona; check it out if you'd like to see a Trek 7.2 in action.

Thanks for the info.

As far as budget goes its not like there will be a selection of hybrids at a bike shop. They're all entry level price or lower if you want a department store bike. So I don't know why you kept talking about budget as if someone were to spend money they don't have to spare on a full carbon XTR hybrid lol.

Nice vid. For maneuverability and some trail/gravel riding, a 20" bmx, or 26" mt. bike styles are much better than the 28" hybrid/comfort types which is good for going say more than 3 miles out on a roads without much bumps, and these are not that good for sidewalks/curbs and are less maneuverable. 28" bikes also have a speed/efficiency factor and you can expect perhaps 1.5 miles an hour faster.

There is a Forum just on this subject. BikeForums. Org scroll down through the choices, till you see Clyde's & Athenians. Very friendly people, and tons of info on this subject.

Is there a hybrid that can handle heavy guys? 350lbs?

And I like bicycle with a triple chain ring up front! Having a 3rd, small ring is nice for getting up steep hills.
I also like the kind of kick stand that goes on the back, not in the middle. So it doesn't scrape up the frame. -
Nice job on the video. It's more informative than you think.

Get ON with it...!

Nice bike. I got the Diamondback Edgewood. I find the bike extremely comfy. I can spend the whole day out with it. Did do some upgrades to it though.
