Thanks for the video, do you know if professional cyclists have chimed in about whether the electronic shifters perform well over thousands of miles?

Awesome video!! Simple, descriptive and straight forward!

An informative video indeed mate. Great primer for any newbie who wants to get a hang of bicycle electronic derailleurs. :-)

Like it because I did need to learn what they were and you are through but they seem dodge to me, the wire un repairable at point of break, battery very vulnerable in location.... not alot 1000 miles either. Does that fall to 300 after 500 the day b4.

makes life alot harder because you need to constantly check and worry about the electronics and i suppose repairing a broken set wont be cheap..if a cable brake is fucked up all there is to do is to replace it, nice and easy.

Weight comparison... ?

nice vids sir

Hi, what is your back wheel resting on to allow it to move freely?
-
I truly hate it.
I'm sorry but the only thing I see here is bike manufacturers inventing new ways to milk the consumer, with no obvious gain in return.
Keeping bikes simple and democratic is the battle ahead and the only future worth living for. -
Hi. I've been a subscriber to more than 150 YT channels for quite some time and so I feel I have a pretty good understanding of what a 'good' video is, or should be. So, I have to say that I found your video COMPLETELY MARVELOUS, for at least the following reasons: You FULLY explained the system, but you didn't rush or duplicate anything, so it was succinct, you spoke beautifully clearly, the audio was spot on, the demonstrations were spot on. I'm going to look at some of your other videos now, but on the strength of this ONE, I will subscribe. Regards Mark in the UK

Agreed but lm a gadget geek and l like new tech on bikes

For me once you ride Di2 there's no going back.
-
Mmmmm not sure why you would need electric gears! what happens if you get caught out and get a flat battery. And stuck in a low gear! Think I'll be sticking with cable. What ever happened to the air gears
-
How much does it cost in Euro please ?
-
Wow this is new to me, does it need to be calibrated when fitted? BTW nice vid

I was looking for a quick explanation of how this system works, and this is it. Thanks!

Nice easy to follow video Leonard. Question: Does Shimano make any claims as to weather restistance? Wouldn't be much fun if rain shorted it out on a long ride would it?
-
Amazing didn't know they had mechanical gearing like this, must be very expensive.
-
Thanks, I have a better understanding now.
