13. I joined the SOS back in 1971 after getting out of the Corps. Righteous Mike was National President back then, and the Sons were still expanding. It was a perfect Brotherhood. Brother helping brother. Riding and parties were our main functions. Yeah there were some conflicts now and then, but nothing really serious. We never harassed citizens, but would put them in their place if they chose that path. Then in the early 1980's things changed. Money became important. Money overrode Brotherhood. People in suits and Limos from Chicago would begin hanging around, and offering work to be done, and done quickly. So I retired, and went loner. Not every member of any club is the "Billy Bad Ass". But make no mistake about it...there are those who ARE NOT to be messed with. Brothers like Dutch who could take on any three men at once, and beat them all horribly with just his bare hands. Others will beat you until you wish you were dead. They will kill you AND your family, and then go get something to eat. As far as the meanest, baddest people on earth, I know a place where there are many of them together. It is called a "graveyard". Just never underestimate ANYONE. Mostly the silent ones.
