Specialized Racing kicks off the 2013 UCI World Cup mountain bike season with a cross country race at Albstadt. The first race of the year is both a challenge and opportunity to get back to race pace and sort out equipment choices. Conditions at this venue were changing by the minute, making it that much tougher on everyone. I tried flipping my stem, just for fun and 'feel' like pro's.. but DAMN, my upper back aches after 45 minutes of riding

I use specialized since 2000.... and, i can tell you, that they don't have an engine, but sometimes you might think they do. :)

Most pros ride with their stem flipped these days. It provides a more aggressive riding position on the bike.
