Starting On a 600cc Bike
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
Going over a very common question in the motorcycling world,"Can I start on a 600cc bike?". The short answer is YES! However, you need to make sure a few things are met before trying, that is if you want to be successful at least. Here's the requirements (IMO): 1.) Be a taller, or heavier person (6 foot + in height, or 190+ pounds) 2.) Take a MSF/training course and have a friend who rides willing to help you 3.) Have respect for the bike and know it can and will kill you if you mess up 6Foot4Honda's Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/6Foot4Honda/featured Anyways, leave a comment down below with any questions! Hope you all enjoyed :) Cheers, Rich

Good advise, ive taken a MSF courae recently did well, i want to get a 600cc as my first im confident ill take it super slow, i understand and belive the out come of being and idiot with alot of power, saying that what would some key things to pay close attention to when first riding a 600cc, such as throttle response, turning and control go, and where would the best place to practice be, i was thinking just around town maybe through some parking lots to learn to handle at low speeds and what not. im just looking for some input! And here I am wanting a 600cc for a starter... I'm 5'3" and 100 lbs =P My only real reason is because I don't want to get a small bike that I will be board with really quickly, and I'd also get left behind while riding with friends. And cause I can find 600cc or close for cheaper than a 250.
I know most of what comes with owning a 600 as a first bike in terms of negative effects, but there are also a lot of positives that come with it like what you said. Not needing to buy a bigger bike, etc. -

Ok I am 5'2" and 150lbs. I wanted to start out on a 300 but it didn't happen because of my credit. I ended up getting a GSXR-600. I am also a little older and did not get it to impress girls or go stupid fast. I got it because of I was going to drop 5k in something I wanted it to be reliable. So I got this 07GSXR-600 with 25k miles on it. I will say it does have power but is nowhere near uncontrollable. So if you are starting out, and you respect the throttle, you should be ok.

5'10" 140lbs. Rode my buddies 2015 cbr300rr and really easy to control. Know all the basic rules and techniques I'm 18. Need some advice cause I'm interested in a cbr600r. Please let me know. Is there like a massive difference in power? I'm not looking to race or haul ass in it. I just don't want to get. Bike I'll get over by next summer season. Please give some feedback.
