I'd like the new mt07 or the 2006 r6 for my first bike either because I like he look of both and they are good machines from friends that own them.

By far the best recommendation on starter bikes on youtube, thanks man!

I just bought a brand new 2016 cbr600rr as my first bike. Its only been less than 2 months now but I love it. No issues at all. So easy to learn on. The one great thing about it for a beginner is that is has practically nothing under 7000 rpm. Very docile in the first half of the rpm range making next to impossible to accidently give her too much throttle.

I kinda started on my dad's old Harley FXR 1340cc when I was 14... Whoops?

Looking for my first bike....drive an Evo like an asshole....looks like im getting a 300...thanks Fry :( lol

Good advice. Shame in the uk can't ride a 600 until your 24 and after many different tests.

You're not a real Moto-vlogger unless you answer this question

great way to put it. I drive my car crazy as well. friends and fam tell me the bike is gonna be the death of you. So I agree I'm gonna get the 300 Kawasaki Ninja

Good points man

I can't drive a car of any kind. A motorcycle is what I started on. Bike size is a personal determination. I took the MSF course and a 155cc Triumph is what I used. After 2 days of riding I vacated the idea of starting on nothing smaller than a 750 Ninja. I saw one at a dealership beforehand and wanted it bad. Bought a Ninja 300 and was happier than flies on shit. After 8 months I got the 750 and a year and a half later I got the Ninja H2. I have kept all 3 bikes and I still put miles on the 300. It's still really fun to ride.

Looks like I'm getting a 300 😅

planning to get a 150 for 2 months and switch to a Daytona 675, thoughts?

I think it's cool to start on a 600 CC because it's fast..

Ive been riding dirtbikes since I was eleven but Ive never ridden anything on the street.
Do you think that haven ridden dirtikes would make it significantly easier to jump on a street bike, or are the two too different? -
how long do feel it wud take to get use to 600 if you rode it as your first bike

I'm actually sitting in motor vehicles right now waiting to get my endorsement on my license. Took and passed the basic rider safety course and have a suzuki bandit gsf 600s sitting at home waiting for me. Granted I'm a bigger guy (6'4, 280) , so I dont exactly fit on too many 250's too well, so that alone is why i went for the 600 (shopped for what i fitted on rather than what was the best for me) The power was just an added bonus. Alittle intimidated by my bike because the only bike i've driven so far has been the suzuki gn125 from my safety course, but this video calmed my nerves a bit. Thanks man!

Started in a cbr500r, getting a cbr600r soon or maybe an r6

I think what a lot of people don't realise is that you can gain experience on the road without being on a bike. Sit as passenger for a professional driver of some sort for 6 months and you will see what the road does to people.
I cycled (bicycle) on the road from 14 years old and didn't get my first motorbike until I was 29 due to financials but I got straight on a brand new 600cc bike in the snow and 4 years later I still haven't come off. The first time I opened the throttle on the road was a shock to the system but immediately I had respect for what the bike could do and how much of that I was ready for.
If you are completely honest with yourself and can control your urge to ride like a demon before you're ready the do it but if you just want to pop some wheelies and race or filter at 100mph then you're just a dick. -
If you're a timid cager, stay off the bikes. 600s are easy to start on, understanding and reading traffic is a good thing to have
