I set out on a 10 day 32 mile bicycle stealth camping adventure. I tried to remain out of view setting up a few stealth setups, one on the roadside, using the Aqua Quest shelter tarp. I got into upgrading the camps a little bit for more comfort by making a digging stick, leveling the ground, building ledges and adding some rocks around the camps. I give you several views and explain my perspective of positioning of my camps so you can get a good idea of what's going on in the video... _______________RELATED VIDEOS_________________ Modular Bikepacking to Backpacking Gear Transfer System... https://youtu.be/jaal_yyk7Bs Hack an old set of miNi Binoculars into 2 single Monoculars... https://youtu.be/LGEi4Oz12ZM Scout and Fanny Pack System - EDC of the Woods... https://youtu.be/g7yxfw87Mkk SUBSCRIBE FOR MORE INFO-https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYvOwoUdr8zsPrnR4S2Km6Q?sub_confirmation=1 _________________________________________________ VIDEO TIMELINE: 0:00-2:30 a temporary one night stealthy shelter tarp/tent off to the roadside to get me through to the next day 2:31-2:50 back on the road, only a couple more miles to go to final camping spot destination 2:51-3:08 arrival and relaxing a bit before setting up a new stealth camping spot 3:09-4:37 some discussion about my new found stealth camping spot on the side of the mountain (how I would have to dig the ground a little to level it out, the expected weather/storm, etc) 4:38-7:21 finding deadwood and making a digging stick/shovel, then rearranging with it for a more level camping spot to lay down on 7:21-9:22 finding some flat rocks- and a surprise under one of them! - for building a more comfortable camping spot 9:23-10:35 waking up in the morning to a little rain. I also show a little bungee/shock cord latch that I bushcrafted up to help hold the Aqua Quest tarp taught and up- also some discussion about the stealthy camouflage blockage/barricade I set up in front of the low profile shelter system 10:36-12:10 an outside look/tour of the camp and it's latest stage at this point- more discussion about why I chose the spot, the view, camouflaging the camp spot, etc. 12:11-12:30 more detailed discussion about what I used the digging stick for, leveling the bed area, more details about the cooking area, etc. 12:30-13:30 a better view up inside and under the stealthy low profile tent shelter tarp setup 13:30-15:01 going down to the creek/stream to collect/harvest some water to bring back to camp and filter 15:01-16:00 returning to camp spot and filtering the harvested water through my Sawyer Mini filter with a DIY carbon filter mod that I made 16:00-17:20 allowing the sun's UV rays to work on killing the organisms in the water, then finishing the job by running the water through the Sawyer mini filter system 17:21- a final view of the camping area from an action camera to give you a different perspective on the camp area I chose ~MORE ABOUT STEALTH CAMPING BUGOUT BIKES and what you can do with them... While preppers have elaborate schemes to bug out with vehicles ranging from simple trucks, vans and ATVs to school buses and to even amphibious boats, these preppers often fail to prepare for an escape from their car, van, bus, truck, SUV, etc., Ultimately, survival could just depend on a bug out bicycle. If you must abandon your home or place of work (or bug out directly from your vehicle), then it would be a good idea to make an alternate plan of escaping with a well equipped bike. You'll need a bugout bike for leading out/detouring around roads should they be blocked with debris, traffic, flood or fire, or any other obstacles, while remaining in stealth. Should your vehicle run out of gas/electricity you could take your stealth bug out bike out of the back of the cargo compartment, truck bed, rack, etc. Or, should your vehicle fail to start due to mechanical difficulties; or, something like an EMP (electromagnetic pulse) happen on earth and ALL cars fail, once again, you can just pull out your bicycle and continue on... Having a bike ready to go is a nice utility to have in a bug out/evacuation situation. Maybe you've got a truck loaded out to get you to point A and to get deeper to point B via a trail/singletrack, a bicycle is just what you need. The idea of an enduro or say a Rokon motorcycle is just good, even Dave Canterbury bought himself an AWD (two wheel drive) Rokon to get around on his land. The problem for the common man is that unless you have fuel caches set up, you won't find fuel out in the woods or deserts and when you're out of gas the motorcycle renders useless. Although a motorcycle will go just about anywhere, carry more gear and supplies than a bicycle, and a motorbike will get you to your bug out destination fast, no doubt about that. And a motorcycle will get even a person who's out of shape to places because they can just ride and throttle their way to their stealth bug out location.
