Awesome bike setup. I am starting the same project, and having doubts regarding frame size. I am 182cm tall (5'11) and looking at the 18" surly Ogre. You mention that you would have gone with the small frame! may I ask why? and may i ask what size road bike you use for my reference.

had the same front fenders. I highly recommend swapping them for something with breakaway mounts.Planet bikes mounts are steel and will not give way if something collides with them, say a leg or a foot, which can turn an ordinary bike crash into a life changing one pretty quickly.

what size is your bike?....small, medium?????

dude....you whisper like you've been punched in the gut or it's your first day at a new school and your shy. bicycle looks great, but I couldn't hear a damn thing you said.

Monkey Nuts for sure. They solved the same issue for me when using 29x3" Krampus wheels on my Pugsley.

How are you enjoying the Ogre? They seem like great bikes. Surly recommends the Monkey Nuts to solve your front derailleur issue. You should be able to adjust the shifting with a bit of finesse and patience. http://surlybikes.com/info_hole/spew/fat_tires_and_front_derailleurs_spew
