Surly Pugsley with BionX Kit Video Review - Fat Tire Bike with 350 Watt Electric Bike Kit
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
http://electricbikereview.com/bionx/pl-350/ The Surley Pugsley is a fat bike with enlarged tires for use on soft terrain such as sand and snow. In this review I'm testing out that bike with a BionX 350 Watt electric bike kit added. The kit offers a 48 volt 8.8 amp hour Lithium-ion battery pack that's mounted to the downtube. It uses a gearless motor that's very quiet and offers four modes of regeneration and regenerative braking. There are many choices for kits that can be added to the Surly Pugsley but this is the most common one that I've seen because it is durable and works with the wider bottom bracket (which many mid-drive kits will not). The LCD display can be used on the left or right handle bar and is removable along with the battery pack which is mounted on the downtube to keep weight low and center.

Is it a fat tire bike or is it sort of a fat tire bike?

Hi, great review, but if you could, could you tell what the average range on this is. Ive checked this info online but i would like to know the actual numbers tested in real conditions. Thanks dude

These look like the smartest electric-bikes I've seen yet, with their chubby tires and their ability to simplify things by eliminating heavy shock absorbing hardware to the bike. Excellent, guys! I'll be looking for one of these under my Christmas tree this year...lol A double thumbs-up! :-)

I like the kit a lot but I hate the two mph requirement for the system to function. If I am going uphill on my trike with my trailer and need to take off again I may not have the strength to get going. Thanks for the info.
