In this video you see how Harley is delusional and lives on his own planet when he insists on lots of BS about things he doesnt know.

The point is staying in the big ring up front... 1 X DriveTrain in Shimano
1 x DriveTrain + Osymetric 56 + 42 Rear Cassette ... and a rear Cassette which doesn't weigh .5Kg
#WhiteLightning has the #PizzaWheel + #RoadLink ... #DurianIdea
Practically it's about 40 from the big ring ... second from top ... not the top for small climbs and cadence. HBC. -
Have you ever seen and experienced an e-bike? they make a lot of noise.

You can love or hate DR. He makes his living from You Tube. He needs to be opinionated to get your attention. He and many others basically challenge people to prove them wrong. If you believe he is wrong, say so and back it up. It makes for good conversation.
I am fat and over 50 and basically new to the road. I am an ok mountain biker. I have put 3500km on my Roubaix since buying it last year. Higher Cadence rides lately and my overall ride speeds have jumped a whopping 20%. In the last 3 rides. Previous average RPM of 74 to 88 and now mostly 92-94 on 175 cranks. I don't check my speed til the ride is over. Able to ride in the Sweet spot while watching heart rate. No Strava crushing times, however
I am top 10% on overall segments and top 10 on my weight and age category. I am not vegan and believe strongly that carbs, most notably that simple carbs will kill you if you are not burning them off quick enough. Water for short rides, electrolyte drink. Energy foods for long rides. -
Harley you should be a team director for Tinko Saxo or Astana

I live in the netherlands flat as f*ck here, 14-25 all the way ;P. It's so nice to have every cog on the casette here, your cadance only canges by 5rpm per shift, it's so nice to find the perfect cadence. In the hills/mountains (ardennes and alps) I use a 32 cassette though.

U got that LA groove dude!!

People are trippin, I have seen cycling tourists on running an 11-23 likes its fucking 2003. I was tempted to have a nice high end but you inspired me to go with a mountain cassette and a single 44 up front on my touring bike. 44 to 11-42. So nice.

Hahaha the end of this video is F---ing prime.

PRO TIP. If you're a cycling noob who's running a 40 cassette on the back with a short cage derailleur with the B screw cranked and a Lindarets RoadLink then always carry a couple spare derailleur hangers and a spare RoadLink...just in case.
If you can...you're better off sourcing a long or medium cage derailleur or buying a bike that has one spec'd OEM. But if that's not an option then spend the extra $60 or so for the spare hangers and RoadLink and stick em' in your saddle bag or jersey pocket and have the peace of mind and preparedness. When it comes to noobs and steep hills all it takes is a few bad shifts and some absentminded cross chaining to snap that hanger.
A snapped hanger with no spare is the one cycling breakage that no one passing by can help you with. The only fix is cab fare or a long walk home. -
Love how he calls these internet people out for their complete B.S. The difference between you and pro's winning these races are a WIDDDEEE margin. Irregardless of bike and gearing they are in pristine condition and doped out of their minds. You either have it or you don't to become an elite cyclist (elite defined by good enough to compete in major tours). If you don't have it you will never understand what it takes
-
Tony Martin uses a 58 big ring and a wide range cassette so that he can stay middle of the cassette for most of the time, he'll never actually use the 32..........Also have you ever seen Tony Martin riding a TT, he has a very low cadence
-
That's right spinners winners mother fucker lol
-
love the dope mix at the end! I agree 100%, let people know after time in the saddle is when they might choose a smaller cog Cuz their fit right, no harm in starting with the correct gears, heck I started with a triple chainring and now a compact ya know. I can run the 28 in back better now I'm fitter, shoot I got a 32 now after trying Mt. baldy here in Cali. Maybe smoke that joint before and you won't have to namaste. lol
