A Salvage Yard is the location of a business in dismantling where wrecked or decommissioned vehicles are brought, their usable parts are sold for use in operating vehicles, while the unusable metal parts, known as scrap metal parts, are sold to metal-recycling companies. Other terms include Wrecking yard, wreck yard, wrecker's yard, breakers yard, dismantler and scrapheap. In the United Kingdom, car salvage yards are known as car breakers, while motorcycle salvage yards are known as bike breakers. In Australia, they are often referred to as 'Wreckers'.

How do I "uncrush" the gas tank I need? Oh...plug up the hole they put in it for draining gas, then pump air into the filler hole! Walla! It inflates back to it's original shape! Easy! LOL.

The 1997 to 2005 Chevy venture, Pontiac Montana, Buick rendezvous,Oldsmobile silouette all had a 100% aluminum hood. I wonder if these wreckers knew this. There were probably millions of them on the road, but the aluminum heads were not nice to the head gaskets, and mechanics were too busy to fix them correctly. There were probably millions of these things on the road, and now I rarely see any of them anymore.

Many people sell their cars at a huge loss because they are dirty, and they are tired of them. The buyer of the used car says this thing was cheap, so I will not clean, but just drive it till it breaks. If either was smart, they will detail it, and change the fluids, and perform preventative maintenance. Ñ most do not know how to do anything, or they have "more importantly" things to do like working to pay for a new car. If people just took care of their cars more, and drove less to work so they can afford another car, the environment would be all the better.

These guys buy cheap & sell for lots of cash....these salvage yards are sad places....but we need to recycle & do our bit for the Environment 😜

I would hate to see a Dodge Challenger Hellcats 707 Hemi ripped out by that machine. I'm tearing up just thinking about it.
