In this case, a cyclist decides it is a good idea to overtake a left turning vehicle, on the left. It was only due to my careful driving and this idiot's dumb luck that he didn't get dismounted. He also saw fit to give me the finger for his stupidity when I advised him of it via the car horn. What he also did was break the law. (Road Safety Road Rules 2009, section 141(2)) The rider of a bicycle must not ride past, or overtake, to the left of a vehicle that is turning left and is giving a left change of direction signal. Penalty: 3 penalty units.
