You may want to buy or "find" a bike for the winter lol. Dude basically said to steal a bike.

Cycling in the winter is fun and safe. A must have is carbide studded tires first and foremost. Mine last at least 2,200 miles during the winter season and 90 percent of my riding is on clear concrete. Studded tires will keep you from falling over on that one piece of 12 inch square ice that you did not see and they are less expensive than one trip to the emergency room.

Don't forget to let everyone know how the snow plows do a great job clearing the car lanes but a real crappy job of clearing the bike lanes, especially on Dayton between Breese Terrace and Lake St., and the bike lane on Park St. between Langdon and Dayton. I don't think the plow drivers give a hoot about winter bikers. May the force ber with you.
