1. You can feel the difference between xc and downhill mode. I tested by riding uphill in dh mode then switching to xc. It made pedaling uphill much easier. Fantastic on the downhill too.

12. I would like to express a need of stability in time. Actually, the standards are evolving too fast. I bought a bike this year and it will probably be unrepairable next year, due to incoming new standards for the shox and the 27.5 inch wheels are probably to be placed too. I'm pissed of by that. I'm not rich at the point I can buy a new bike every three years and it's exactly the new trending that the industry is taking.

    With a 2016 Jekkyl. So I need to upgrade my wheels and front shock: any thoughts for a 100kg technical rider that loves lots of air? I was thinking deemax & Lyric/Fox36....overkill or spot on? Any thoughts?

I've just bought a used Trek fuel 80 which seems like a great bike to me (a casual rider), but when I see the stuff that is being produced now... just wow. I got rid of my Jekyll lefty as I was driving very wiery of it having weak spots that could cause me harm, replaced it with fox talas 36 180mm, now truly it deserves number1 spot, been on many but the quiet shock dead and cozy drives uphill and pedal steady descents are great compared to the rest.
