Moots made a day trip to the west side of Rocky Mountain National Park before they opened the roads to car traffic. They had started clering snow off the road about 2 weeks before we rode, but still plenty of tall walls left. Matt Alford, Nate Bradley and Jon Cariveau made the trip to just over 12,000 feet, which was 17 miles of climbing, gaining just over 4,000 feet. The tempature at the high point was in the mid 20's, with a stiff 30mph wind blowing. We rode a mix of Moots bikes...Vamoots, Vamoots DR and Routt 45. We had to travel with a light back pack each for additional clothing as we climbed.
