Oh and by the way I just saw someone comment on the amount of bike in holland 18 mil+ to 17mil residents.
In Denmark it's more like 3 bikes per person, it makes 15 million bikes for 5 million people. -
Holland is a great biking country, but they still have to look at there infrastructure, when it comes to bikes, because comparing the safety of riding at bike in Amsterdam and Copenhagen, Copenhagen is so much safer and relaxing, been biking both places and oh my god how much safer Copenhagen is for bikes.
Maybe the reason Copenhagen is declared the city of bikes.
And it doesn't come down to the amounts of bikes it's how you lead them trough the city, I can tell you Copenhagen got the street in the western world with most bikes passing every day. And I think Copenhagen is the Mekka of biking, when it comes to safety and infrastructure. -

I'm planning to do a multiple countries travel next year at Europe and thinking of bringing my foldable bike along for easy commuting... Your video is a great help... Just in case, I wonder what camera do u use for self recording.. Thinking of doing the same...

Trolling or just idotic, can't decide..I would like to know where you got the 95% from??You must have some kind of documentation for your claim i presume, or is it just a number that you randomly came up with?;-) Your statement om Berlin and Barcelona is just nuts..I live in Copenhagen, a bike friendly city like Amsterdam, and have visited both Berlin and Barca - and non of those cities are no where near the standards of Copenhagen. or Amsterdam..PERIOD.

I work at a large law firm and 95% of the people who live in Amsterdam come to work by bicycle. This number is pretty much the same for the other firms in this WTC business area. It's true a lot of bikes are left behind, but that does not mean people don't cycle. You must have seen people cycling everywhere in traffic. I am happy to provide you with some statistics if you want! Finally, why would we make up a "scam" for this?! You have been observing without understanding the way of life. [2/2]

I'm sorry, it just isn't true. As for me, I do put my bike in the same spot everyday, and I know most people do. Also, over 75% of people who work and live in Amsterdam use their bike at least 3 times per week, and that's without children going to school. [1/2]
