Honestly, after researching how these frames are really made and cutting them up Trek produces one of the best quality carbon fibre frames in the World. A look inside any Italian frame, except maybe Cipolini , you will find flaws. Chinese and Taiwan manufacturing make acceptable frames but not at the same quality as Trek. I thought Trek was a cheap bike company years ago until I did my homework. Even though their highest flagship model is expensive it is still made here in America and is worth the asking price. I don't own a Trek nor do I work for them but if I were in the market for a new bike and I wanted carbon I would give Trek some consideration.

That bike and the company is dope.

Lighter bikes like aerodynamics is pure nonsense, think some of those fat bragging guys riding on them, they have 10kg extra weight, and still they talk how light their bike is.
-
Lance also kept secrets, but all comes out in its time...

No Tour Wins!!!!!
-
Lance Armstrong also had a closely guarded secret...Carbon is carbon unless you're building aerospace parts; and they use ultrasound scanners for those manufacturing defects. Trek makes most their bikes in Taiwan & China like nearly everyone does.

They don't attach wheels, and they don't even come with pedals. -

I am a "Sconie" and have had the privilege to ride many Trek bikes. wit that said, I was a cannondale who're forever....oclv changed everything and they continue with strand orientation. this was a family owned manufacturing facility that has become the paradigm of engineering and performance. well done...hope they stay apex, specialized is close

I have a aluminum Trek Alexa/Domane, 2 series, that I bought for in 2013, for $1,400. I think you guys make great bikes! Although, I have to admit, that the Bontrager stock wheels, that comes with it, isn't all too great, though.
The wheels are heavy & the the rear hub has a lot of fricksion, so it can't pick up speed or eccelorate as well. So i'm saving up to buy a pair of entry level race wheels, just so I can get my foot in the door.
I do, however, like the iso speed, considering that I have sevier scoliosis, (a curve of the spine) so it really helps to relieve pressure on my spine! I also, like the fact, that Bontrager wheels are really reliable when it comes to durability/strangth, as well! It has a hole straight through the rear rim, i've even riddin it through 2 miles of solid grabble & i'm still able to train with the same wheel. My front wheel is a Bontrager R1, which is still holding up pretty well, even with a dent in the alloy braking surfice!
Thanks Trek, &
God Bless! -
