Can I ask what Amber wall tyres you would recommend for an entry level bike restoration? I've just taken possession of a 1989 Peugeot Premiere and want to do it justice while keeping the costs down. 12. Good job restoring! I am also looking to buy a used vintage bicycle and I have a question regarding to the frame...how did u manage to remove the rust and dirt away and make the colouring look so new? did you use a solvent that removes the rust?
13. Hi Andy, I just found you channel today and watched all your videos back to back. You have inspired me into thinking about buying a vintage racer. It would be good if you could explain in you videos sizing of vintage racers, and how these relate to rider height (roughly speaking). I have also been reading on wheel spacing and that vintage bikes have 126mm dropout spacing, whereas modern wheels are 130 or 135mm. Do you get special 126mm wheels or fit modern wheels? 14. Andy you have done a fantastic job on this bike excellent balance between making it a useable bike and keeping it original. Loving the retro turbo saddle they were fantastic back in the 80's, top job on the bar tape as well applied like a pro.

15. Hi Andy, do you have any trick on dent ? I have an old frame with small dent that I want to use for daily ride. Can I use somekind of filler and paint it ?
16. Back in late 1964, as a birthday present, I had a Falcon Olympic with 531 frame and Campagnolo gran sport changer plus other nice fittings. The rear large flange hub had developed a crack it's one piece forging and I took it back the the factory.
    At that tine the factory was in Wills St, Smethwick and I don't remember any reference to the 'Falcon' name at all one the building only 'Coventry Eagle. One way of recognising a Falcon then were the wrap around stays under the seat. I wish I still had it. From memory i think it cost about £36.00, the Gran Sport, which I think was the model their team used cost about £72.00 which was serious money back then. as a novelty they also made a 'penny farthing.!
