Walk-Around: BEST BEGINNER MOTORCYCLE CRUISER: Suzuki S40 Boulevard | LS650 Savage 650cc

At this point I have been riding on my S40 Boulevard for 6.5 months now on about a weekly basis. This is my first bike, so please note this walk-around is a beginner's perspective on the Suzuki S40 Boulevard 650 cc. RIDE REVIEW: https://youtu.be/BK-s_Zq_9q4 BIKE DROP: https://youtu.be/nUMojc4P2aI RAN OUT OF GAS: https://youtu.be/v4HOk_XwF1g CAMERA: GoPro Hero 3+ INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/doodleonamotorcycle/ Why I LOVE this bike: 1) Light enough for me to handle and pick up if dropped (c. 380 lbs) 2) Comfortable, cruiser style 3) Quick dodge from cars if necessary: 0-60 in 8 seconds vs. a standard car, like my Chevy Cruze, goes 0-60 in 9-11 seconds 4) Easy to make tight turns once you learn the "friction zone" concept 5) Low seat allows me to keep both feet flat on ground (I am 5'3") 6) It's soooo prettyyyyy!! Things I dislike: 1) Once you hit 55 mph the vibration is pretty intense, mostly on the seat, but as you continue riding also on feet and hands. 2) You can feel the wind swaying you when it is very windy 3) Very basic features (no fuel gauge) 4) Horn sounds like Mickey Mouse RECOMMEND? DEFINITELY. Particularly for new, riders, especially for short. An experienced rider MAY think it's too rough and basic in features, but may like how easily you can find it for cheap. How many miles did your bike have when you bought it and how many miles have you put on it? Do you still have the original tires on it or have they been changed somewhere between you and the first owner?

I'm sure you've heard before but use Mobil 1 oil. It really does help with shifting and performance. I have a Boulevard VZ1500 and the difference between standard and full synthetic oil is very noticeable.

Hi just some advice as I have been around bikes 4 30 years ( started on mx ) Also got a s40 with a cobra exhaust ( sounds nice ) and a Airhawk saddle as it improves riding position and comfort !! Stock seat is terrible , Practice off road to gain confidence , AVOID Heavy traffic / Bad weather ( some car Drivers have a BAD ATTITUDE when they see Bikes etc ) All the peeps I have known who died on Bikes used them everyday ........Use bikes 4 Pleasure ONLY , wear good bike gear and DONT rely just on mirrors Etc , Riding Bikes is a lot of fun BUT is a F...ing NIGHTMARE if you do come off , I know some who after Surviving a nasty crash never rode again , Take it easy out there !!!!

It is amazing. I have the 2016 model and it is exactly the same. It is also a little difficult to get into 1st. All I do is rev a little and it goes in. I noticed you have two "Cruising only" videos. If you do any others, it would be great if you let the motor sound permeate into the image. Unfortunately you mic is so good filtering noises that we can't hear your bike in those videos. Would you? Good job with the walk around. I'm sure by now you found out that your stand has a safety mechanism that cuts the motor when you try to put it down and you are in gear. it is to prevent you starting your ride with the stand still down.

the 'pass' button will flash your high beams each time you press the button. you might need to have the low beams on for it to work.... my new bike has a pass button but wont work if the high beams are already on. used for passing cars and such... sorry i'm flooding your comments lol i'm writing as i'm listening.... also the shifting into first gear problem. sometimes the bike needs to be rocked forward or backward to let the gear fall into place. it's pretty normal, my new bike does it too. hope that helps you

lol when you swore... i literally cracked up. it was like you surprised yourself haha.... i had to censor myself in my last video, i was almost hit by a truck. with my adrenaline going i said a pretty bad phrase and decided it was not youtube friendly lol i'll let your imagination figure out the saying J.F.C.
