One of my favourite ab exercises - although I have a lot of favourites.... I do 3 to 5 sets of 40/50 reps. I use either a dumb bell, medicine ball or a weight plate, but this can also be done with household items like a bottle or big bag of rice etc.. Beyond 10 kg I find it a little uncomfortable and my form becomes less perfect. This is also a great exercise without any weight at all - just aim to touch the floor either side of you with both hands and keep it slow and controlled. If I don't reach my goal reps I lay down briefly and then continue to that number with an extra 5 reps as punishment for not making it the first time - hard on myself......
