Why cars hate bikes
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
This clip is taken from my helmet cam, and demontrates what I believe are a couple examples of things cyclists do that annoy drivers. Annoyed drivers tend to do stupid things (like the bus who cut me off - after my battery ran out unfortunately, or it would be in this clip as well). In Manitoba, the highway traffic act is pretty clear about 2 points - a) bikes are to obey all the same laws cars have to (unless explicitly stated otherwise) and b) it is unlawful to pass vehicles on the right. Watch how a car carefully passes me with lots of room only to have a cyclist pass him on the right. (Bonus marks to viewers who spot the second cyclist driving where he can, not where he should.)

Too fat to ride? Maybe if they had to afford to afford a heavy duty bike (they make them -they're pricey) But most bigger riders don't need to go to that extreme. I'm "fluffy" myself and I ride around six days a week. I've only had to replace a bike when they were stolen.

I always thought because they were either to poor to afford a good bike or to fat and lazy to ride one
-
As a vegan what kind of food do you take with you on your bike for like a 4-5 hr ride?
-
Just wasted 2 minutes of my life watching this.

I would have riden around the stopped cars in the center lane then up on the grass on the left and back on the road. CARS HOLD UP TRAFFIC FOR CYCLISTS!
-
It's called filtering when traffic is extremely slow or stationary as in this case. If you want to forego the benefits of being on a small machine, so be it, but don't berate those who use their advantages to their benefit. You might as well have been in a car.

Lol he did, back in the late 80s. But I always use that as an example of why you shouldn't let motorists by just because of their ability to go faster. This is especially frustrating on Mt. Lemmon. There are only certain portions where I can actually look to see if someone's behind, let alone let cars by while descending, yet people pass anyways, crossing double yellow solid lines when I'm within 5-8 mph of the speed limit PLUS or minus.

Sorry to hear about your dad's friend - hope he makes a speedy recovery. Getting clipped in tight spaces is one reason I will assert my right to my lane (like I did in this video).

Wanna know what happens to a cyclist who is "nice" and lets a car pass him on a narrow road? He ends up in the fucking hospital, like my dad's friend. A good percentage of motorists can go fuck themselves.
-
Narrow? Come and ride in London...

Poster is likely more right than wrong but it just looks trivial, lots of cars & some bicycles all poodling along just fine but real slow on some pokey road.
-
It all depends on where you live. In Chicago bikes are required to obey all the same rules of the road.
-
Why do cars think we need so little space? (Maybe because we sometime squeeze ourselves into places that are too small) To be fair it is probably the camera angle, although that section of road is narrow. If the car had squeezed me, you'd have heard about it on the clip :-) - that said, I certainly wouldn't filter past him and give him a second chance at squeezing me off the road.

The Highway Code is the Department of Transport manual for all road users in the United Kingdom.

let me guess golden jersey? or green one.. or at least someone who does the long tour de france? if no then no one i need to know. and no i'm not famous to people who do racing or known throughout the news, we are a bunch of people who race in secret and the tracks we use are dangerous. one saying we use is "You slip, You die".
-
alright haha, obviously you dont know who i am but im not gonna say it on youtube.
-
up to you what you say.. just know my workout route is 60 mile of up hill then 60 mile of down hill.. the down hill part is fine so long as i don't get fatigued, when i do its like dodging cars while having a heart attack.. not the best feeling.. either way at the moment i'm a little out of shape compared to what i use to be like. 60 mile to me use to be very easy, at the moment its just easy. i blame my car..
-
BAHAHAHA you just made yourself sound like a complete idiot hahhahahahha
