within ethinic culture larger woman are seen as beautiful, showing the ethnic standard of beauty to be much more excepted as norm however, it is within the european definition of beauty which is dominantly portrayed through media and advertising industries, who set unrealistic standards/ideals, of the visually preferred standard of beauty, hence generations upon generations of self loath.
