How does it brake?
-
Do you still have/ride this bike?
-
How much does it weigh?
-
Hermes Paris sells bicycle of high quality carbon steel, front brakes for $12,000.00.

I have a 3 Speed Windsor. Leather seat and hand grips. Front rack, kick stand and fenders both front and back. Comes in black.

this is classic no frills bicycle. I might want to have one and add basket or rack with it to go to the library or do light grocery for milk egg or bread. How much did that cost you?

I'm still riding it and enjoying it! It's holding up well. No problems.

any updates? I may possibly buy this model in a couple days. Thanks

Thanks very much for posting this review. I've been considering these for awhile, but its hard to find much information about them. I like the simplicity of the single speed with a coaster brake, and the clean, uncluttered look. Realistically, I probably need a 3-speed because I live on a hill and need to gear down. I have another bike, but its too flashy to leave unattended. This would be a great bike for short runs around the neighborhood. Please post additional updates as warranted! Thanks.

Thank you for posting this review. It was really helpful to me, as I'm very interested in purchasing the same bike from BikesDirect.

so u mean you brake by pedal

This bikes got a coaster brake, built into the hub.

Where's the brake??

I have this bike and had a bike shop put on a Sturmey-Archer 8-Speed X-RF8(W) hub. It was hard finding a hub with a 120mm over locknut dimension, but this one is. Most internal hubs will be 130mm. I have had it for over a year and have gotten good use out of it, it has held up well.

TwylatStuff, I've owned a Oxford for two years now and it works perfect. I've put a couple thousand miles on it because it's too much fun to ride. I also recommend the three speed of the higher ones because Shimano 7/8 speed internal hubs have very bad reviews, while the 3 speeds are incredibly reliable. But I'm currently trying to figure out if I can put a cassette on the thing to get more gears. I do serious riding and three gears is not cutting it for some of the hills around here.

It's holding up well. The weather where I live (southern california) is very mild, so I haven't ridden it in the snow, just rain. Its still running very smooth, comfortable, and quiet. Got some compliments on it too. This is my 2nd bike from bikesdirect, and they are great for the money.

Thanks for posting this video. I'm trying to decide between the black and purple Windsor Oxford 3-speed! You've had this single speed for a little while now, putting on winter miles. How's it holding up?
