250 is not Legit as you say for a 6-6 guy. dr650 all the way! met a fellow diver who has 40k miles around the world on one.

Yeah you guys should sit on the XR650L and see what that is like. I'm 5'11" and it's too tall for me. So maybe it would fit you guys? I have a DR650 and it's a perfect fit for me, and I only weigh 183 so it doesn't sink down much at all. But those little 250's? no way that's going to work for you. I've ridden 250's before and they are pretty slow, even for me. The WR250 ran pretty good, not great, but decent, but the Honda 250L was super slow.

XR650L is the best bet stock. 37" seat height. Prolly have to re-spring it a bit for weight but you're not going to find taller. On the suzi you can get peg remounts that move them lower and back, and bar risers plus taller bars. You're still spending a lot to make it what you want and get it to where the Honda already is...

helpful video. thx

Great Videos...

i am a heavier rider. you are going to expect to have to add heavier springs or oil or revalve suspension. they all are for lighter riders

No matter what bikes these guys get, they're going to have to spend money on them to make them workable for them. Raising links, handle bar risers, taller windscreen (if they have one), lowering pegs and maybe a taller seat. The KLR looks to be the best fit but unfortunately, is the worst off road. What did they end up with?

I would recommend xt660z

when you miss out on the XR650l...

Nice RZ 500 in the back ground.

It's such a pity they don't make a WR450R as the 250 motor would definitely feel the weight of a heavy guy. Because aside from that it's the best bike technology wise of this set, best suspension, and the engine will actually do BIG kilometres / miles. There are numerous specimens out there with 100,000km / 60,000 miles on advrider and stuff. Very tough little bike, only problem is it costs a bit more. I guess the old adage applies with "reliability, performance, price. Pick 2". For lighter riders I would definitely pick the the WR, not as much power as the 650's but would probably beat them around a track (dirt or road...), for heavier riders, well I guess you need to test ride.

CRF250, not CR250...

The one guy is 6'6" which really isn't that tall - it's about 198 cm. So it's not like these guys are giants - they're just tall.

he must riding bmw 1200
