Yamaha R1 As a First Bike - Short Man Learning How To Ride His First Motorcycle Yamaha YZF-R1
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
Is Yamaha R1 good as a first bike? Just check this video out! He has never ridden any motorcycle in his entire life. This was filmed the next day after he brought the bike home, and must say the progress was huge as for only one day. Since then he rides with us whenever he can. He got his gear few days later so please don't hate for no gear. We always ride geared up and we don't let others ride with us if they don't have proper protection. He still needs some time to gain experience, which is needed to ride motorcycle reliably. Yamaha R1 is good as a first motorcycle until you are not an idiot and you don't ride hard without experience. I just uploaded video response to this video. http://youtu.be/kXAMH4RX6hw He rides so much better and is getting very good on the corners. Click the link to watch it http://youtu.be/kXAMH4RX6hw

never has been on a bike, chooses a super powerful bike and wear no helmet. Hmmm
-

The only reason to "hate" on this video is because it's his first time riding a bike without proper gear... AND on a liter bike, but if you're saying "too much power for first bike" then you're just jealous, I bought and learned how to ride on a gsxr 1000 when I was 15 but i wasn't a dumbass who rode to the max power, I also had a great amount of protection and gear unlike Patrick(spongebob) in the video. I'm still alive lol

Dish scientist middle related along.

How tall is he? You guys have any hills over there. I'm 5'7" and was looking at an R1 yesterday. But idk here in South California we got so many hills I'm afraid to ride tip to in every where. I sat on a Hayabusa and it was way more comfortable and easier to handle cause it was so much lower.

What is the rider height???
-
he need to lower that bike
-
can i know his height?
-
This video should be called what not to do.
-
what year is the bike?

You don't need to be tall to ride a 1000cc you need to be skilled. How will he handle the bike above 7000 revs around a corner when the back skips out? The video shows him revving the bike in the low range of its engine power. And riding in shorts on the road is idiotic. You fall your skin gets left on the road. The bike hasn't revved once in the high range? That is not riding. Get a smaller bike or get lessons on how not to be a statistic. Just saying..

I started on a 2009 R1 3 months ago, and started my channel, and have never looked back. It is not the bike that puts a rider in trouble, it is his/her mind set in relation to his/her skill set. You can hurt yourself just as easily on any bike if you are not very, very cautious. I spent hours in a parking lot just working on turning, accelerating, and stopping fast, before I ever really got up to even going the speed limit on normal streets. I also ride like every car will at some point try to run me over. Whether it is a big bike or a little bike, it doesn't care who is riding it, it only cares about the directions it has been giving. Don't tell the bike to do something your skill set can't handle.

I feel like starting on a crazy bike like this ruins the fun... I learned on a 2000 yamaha v-star 650 I bought for like $1700... I loved it... made for a great beginner bike even though it was kinda heavy... but it allowed for me to have a crap load of fun while i progressed to faster and faster bikes over the years, so i never got bored
