ZERO motorcycles - a dirt bike that doesn't need gas and its SILENT
bicycles reviews | bicycles videos | bicycles online
This electric dirt bike caught my eye not only because it is simply a cool idea to rip through the neighborhood on a silent hooligan bike and commute to work or school on a vehicle that never needs gas....BUT its also a good emergency bug out bike in my opinion. If a silent fast electric dirt bike is good enough for the military's spec-ops...then its good enough for me. People always say when bugging out its best to stay quiet and stay unseen and move fast. What better why to do all those things than to do them on a Zero electric dirt bike. Plus its street legal for daily commuting. http://www.grandcanyoncycles.com http://www.zeromotorcycles.com royalty free music by youtube creator tool.

I like them, very cool, cutting edge bike, the future of motorcycles imo
-
dose it have a place/plug to charge with a solar panel if not it needs one? what size woud you say that these bike would be in cc size? 125cc 250cc?
-
i give this idea a big fat O! lol
-
All these dippy electric bicycles need these batteries or people get stranded.
-
With all that "practicality" someone should of asked , " how much do replacement batteries cost?" Batteries do not last for ever and Im sure you would choke if you knew how much those would cost.

$4500 - $6500 in gas and maintence on a dual sport per year? What is that guy smoking? Great concept but $13k for the dirt bike model? Think Id stick with a KTM 690 Enduro and happily pay for my gas and maintence. Tell ya , I ride a DRZ400 right now and although I live in New England where we have to take a few mos off riding every year , my annual gas and maint. is less than $1000 and I ride the shit out of my dual sport.

the thing i like the most is that here in the uk , there are not too many places you can ride without getting noise complaints. you could ride one of these down many a farm road, track, trail without attracting unwanted attention, no scaring dog walkers who then phone the police or scaring horses, riders.

12,000 for the fx ? I think they brought that down to 8,495 ? Or am I wrong ?
-
Dude I want one
-
i reckon that belt drive would bust first time out for me.

If you have to BUG OUT with an electric bike, the societal situation will probably be such that you will not find a place to recharge it, and you won't get far. These E-bikes are really expensive, but as they come down in price and double the range WHILE having a decent cargo load, they will find a niche as commuter and bikes and dirt toys. When that happens, I'll buy one. Saying that these will replace gas powered bikes soon is very premature. E-bikes have a very promising future. Also, before all you hipped run out and buy an E-bike, remember that they are basically COAL POWERED. Electricity comes primarily from coal power plants, so you aren't "saving the planet" by owning one. It would be great if the US would allow more nuclear, so that cleaner energy would make the enviro-worriers who little to nothing about true conservation and science have a real basis for going electric.

the day electric are known to be quicker in all motorsport categories is the day electric vehicles are favored over gas.

Wish they'd come down a few grand in price.
